The world language department and English as a New Language department at West Islip Union Free School District came together to organize a vibrant and culturally enriching International Night on May 20. The event showcased the diversity and talents of the school community, featuring captivating performances and interactive cultural activities.

The highlight of the evening was a dynamic lineup of performances, including traditional Irish step dancing, a professional performance titled "Sempreverde" by Incanto, and lively Greek dance routines. Following the show, guests enjoyed dinner and dessert that was both catered and home-cooked by the district’s local English Language Learner families. Throughout the venue, booths were set up to offer students and attendees an opportunity to engage in hands-on cultural experiences. From crafting carnival masks to coloring international flags, getting henna tattoos, and learning new dances, there was something for everyone to enjoy and explore.
