The third graders at Bayview Elementary School designed and built butterfly houses – and even a few condos – in the STEM lab. They then observed and documented the life stages of the painted lady butterfly in a metamorphosis journal. Mrs. Caufield taught them a butterfly life stage song to help in remembering the stages. On May 29, the butterflies were released in the courtyard to continue the cycle of life.
