Students at both Udall Road Middle School and Bayview Elementary School were named winners in the PSA Video Student Challenge sponsored by PSEG. Out of more than 250 groups, only 30 made it to the semifinals, and 10 were chosen as finalists. West Islip students Kaylee Mushorn and Cadhla Lonergan were named the winners of the competition.

From Ms. Gagliardi’s class at Udall Road, Julian Miranda and Liam McKendry reached the semifinals, while Megan Filiato and Chloe Gordon advanced to the finals. Their hard work and creativity truly shone through in this competitive contest.

In Mr. DeMaio’s class at Bayview Elementary School, semifinalist groups included:

• Richard Kunkel, Christopher Randazzo
• Joseph Gliamas, Nico Varrichio, Aidan Welner
The awards event was held at The Children’s Museum in Garden City.
