Prekindergarten students at Paul J. Bellew Elementary School have been studying the classic tale of “The Three Little Pigs.” They compared and contrasted many different versions and have had discussions about characters and setting. The students culminated this fun unit with a celebration on Special Person Day. Students worked side by side with their special guest on a STEM challenge: to design a strong, sturdy house that fits a small pig and cannot be blown down by the wolf. The prekindergarten engineers and guests did a terrific job.
