Oquenock Elementary School was transformed into a sea of purple on Feb. 14 in honor of P.S. I Love You Day. As the school was filled with artistic displays, many dressed in purple to celebrate the day. Students lined a hallway with their unique handprints and created paper hearts filled with thoughtful messages to show the powerful impact of positivity.
A kindness chain “linked” the school’s youngest learners together. To spread joy outside of the school and into their community, students decorated paper bags with words of kindness. School counselor Michelle Falco and Principal Amanda Harvey delivered the bags to local businesses including Higbie Bagels and SPK. Throughout the day, customers received messages of positivity with each of their orders.
