Boys Swimming Team thumbnail264818

The boys varsity swimming team, led by coaches Mac Loudon and Ed Jablonski, has wrapped up a truly historic season, achieving remarkable success both in and out of the pool. The Lions captured the regular-season League Championship, shattering multiple longstanding records along the way. Divers Brady Tyler and Aidan Stueber dominated the League II Championship, finishing first and second, respectively. Brady went on to earn a silver medal at the Section XI Suffolk County Diving Championship, further solidifying the team's dominance. An impressive 13 swimmers qualified for the State Qualification Meet, with 10 achieving personal-best times – an effort that propelled the team to victory in the Small School County Championship.

West Islip continued its success on the state level, sending five swimmers — Aidan Stueber, William DeWitt, Braden Felix, Brendan O'Regan, and Colin Stueber — to the NYSPHSAA Championship in Ithaca. All swimmers advanced to the NYS Finals on day two in multiple events, swimming their fastest times, breaking numerous records, and earning All-State Honors. Capping off their extraordinary season, the team was honored with the 2024-2025 Suffolk County Swim Officials Association Sportsmanship Award, a testament to their dedication, teamwork, and integrity. Congratulations to the entire team on an unforgettable season!
