Fifth graders in Mrs. Hartnett and Mrs. Field’s class at Bayview Elementary School recently read the book “Wonder.” As they followed the main character’s journey through the novel, they discussed important themes like kindness, acceptance and empathy. After completing the book, each student chose a creative project to showcase what they learned and to celebrate their reading adventure. Whether through artwork, writing or presentations, the project helped students reflect on the lessons in “Wonder” and share their thoughts with their classmates. The projects are now on display outside the school’s library.
