Congratulations to the West Islip athletes and coaches on their success at the Section XI championships. At the boys swimming and diving county championship, West Islip won the small school championship and was recognized with the Official’s Sportsmanship Award. The team also broke numerous longstanding West Islip records, earned multiple top three honors, and many swimmers qualified to compete in the NYS Championships at Ithaca College. At the League wrestling championship, West Islip crowned four champions and qualified a record-setting 15 wrestlers for the upcoming Section XI county championship! Go Lions!
