On Nov. 8, Bayview Elementary School held its fourth annual Veterans Day car parade to honor those who have served our country. Joining the more than 425 students, faculty, staff, and school administration were 48 local veterans with family ties to the community. These veterans were proudly featured in a parade around the school building, with some even displaying flags and decorations on their vehicles. Adding to the celebration were the fifth-grade band, the West Islip High School marching band, the West Islip Fire Department, and the Suffolk County Police. Students cheered and waved flags and posters to honor these special veterans, thanking them for their commitment, dedication, and service to our country.
