West Islip High School hosted the district’s first college fair of the season on Nov. 1 in the school’s gymnasium. Representatives from more than 100 colleges and universities visited the school to meet with juniors and seniors during the morning sessions. Students had a full period to meet with the representatives, learn about majors, extracurricular activities, admission criteria, campus life and financial aid. It was a great opportunity for students to learn about the many choices that await them after graduation and to speak to representatives from some of their top college prospects.
