Fifth graders at Bayview Elementary School learned about the nature of apples as part of a STEM activity called Apple Trapper. Students engaged in the engineering design process and invented a tool to pick up apples. They explored the properties of paper and thought like inventors to improve their creations, learning from failure through trial and error.
