To help facilitate a peer-to-peer connection and practice literacy skills, fifth graders at Oquenock Elementary School recently paired up with third graders for the Pineapple Project. During the buddy activity, fifth graders interviewed their third grade partners and noted their favorite subjects in school, activities, sports and food. Third graders then interviewed fifth graders and worked together to create pineapple artwork and decorate posters.
