Two West Islip High School seniors – Joshua Aponte and Emilia Miranda – have been named National Hispanic Scholars by the College Board for their outstanding academic achievements as part of the National Recognition Program. They were selected based on their high-ranking scores on the PSAT or Advanced Placement exams.
