Beach Street Visits United Nations Headquarters

On May 29, students in the Model UN class at Beach Street Middle School, taught by Ms. Probert, had the opportunity to visit the United Nations Headquarters in New York City.
Throughout the school year, students explored world geography, diverse cultures, and the important role the United Nations plays in fostering global cooperation, development and peace. The visit provided students with the opportunity to bring their classroom learning to life as they stepped inside one of the world’s most influential international organizations.
During the trip, students toured several significant areas of the United Nations, including the General Assembly Hall and Security Council chambers. They gained firsthand insight into how representatives from countries around the world collaborate to address global challenges and promote international understanding.
The experience was an unforgettable opportunity for students to see diplomacy in action and deepen their appreciation for the connections between communities and countries around the world.
