Udall Students Create PSAs for PSEG Challenge
During their science classes, sixth grade students at Udall Road Middle School recently took part in PSEG’s “I Am EM-Powered Challenge,” creating public service announcements focused on environmental awareness and energy conservation. After completing their projects, students selected the top three PSAs to submit to the contest.
As part of the initiative, students learned about energy efficiency, conservation efforts and renewable energy sources. They explored how individuals are already taking action to promote sustainability and protect the environment.
Inspired by the spirit of Earth Day, students selected specific environmental topics and crafted compelling messages designed to encourage others to take action. Through their PSAs, students demonstrated both creativity and a strong commitment to building a cleaner, more sustainable future.
On Feb. 27, representatives from PSEG visited the school to speak with students about energy conservation, environmental responsibility and the importance of empowering young people to become advocates for change. The visit provided students with valuable real-world insight and reinforced the impact their voices can have within the community.
