Families, administrators, Board of Education members, faculty and staff all joined Udall Road Middle School for the eighth grade moving up ceremony held in the West Islip High School auditorium on June 25.

Eighth grader Alyssa Tobia delivered a performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” and the audience was welcomed to the ceremony by Udall Road Middle School Principal Dr. Daniel Marquardt.

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Paul Romanelli and Board of Education President Anthony Tussie both offered their words of wisdom for the soon-to-be high school students. The Udall Road vocal ensemble, directed by Ms. Cirasole, performed “Until We Meet Again.”

Following the special address to her class from Student Council President Amina Bajwa, Dr. Marquardt and assistant principal Lynn Summers presented each student with their certificate. Congratulations to the future West Islip High School Class of 2028!
