The West Islip Health and Wellness Alliance is proud to present the inaugural GLOW RUN event, taking place at West Islip High School Wednesday, November 6 (Family Connect Night) at 6:30pm. Please find attached an informational flyer and participant information. All participants will receive a bag of ‘glow in the dark’ accessories (glow necklaces, glow bracelets, glow face paint, etc.) and will run/jog/walk under the stars through a ¾ mile course on the West Islip High School property. A DJ will be playing music throughout the event (glow dance party at the finish line) and a vendor village will be coordinated at the start/finish line in the rear of the high school, where goodies will be available. In addition, the elementary school which has the greatest student participation will receive $150 for school supplies from the Health and Wellness Alliance. Participants can register online through the West Islip school district website via ‘My School Bucks’ through October 30. For those who want to purchase additional glow products/accessories, they’ll be available through My School Bucks and on the day of the event. Staff who want to join us and do not have a West Islip My School Bucks account, can register the day of the event. Registration is open to everyone interested in having a good time.
