Congratulations to West Islip seniors Rocco Carpinello and Chris Piropato on their recent National Football Foundation recognitions. Rocco received the James C. Metzger National Football Foundation Suffolk Chapter Golden 11 Scholar-Athlete recognition, which is awarded to the top 11 scholar-athlete football players in Suffolk County. Chris was recognized as an Orlin & Cohen Orthopedics Player of the Week (week 2), where he totaled 11 tackles, including four for a loss and added a forced fumble and fumble recovery in the team’s win against Bellport.
