Registration of eligible kindergarten students takes place in each
elementary school annually. In accordance with established policy of the West Islip School District, children must be
five (5) years of age on or before December 1 in order to be enrolled in
kindergarten for the coming year.
At the time of registration, a parent/guardian must present school
officials with an original birth certificate,
proof of residence, and a Certificate
of Immunization. The building school nurse will review the immunization
documentation for completeness. No student will be admitted to school
without the required immunizations.
If you are unsure where to register your child, call the District Office
at (631) 893-3200.
Kindergarten Registration will be held for the 2011-2012 school year on
