It’s back! It’s on! It’s all about the Belt! The Sports Marketing Club presents Teachers vs. Students on Tuesday, April 18th at 7pm. Come see Mr. Yuli, Ms. Annunziata, Mrs. Murray and the one and only Mr. Como outshine the students in the ultimate lip sync Battle for the Belt. All students interested in competing against the teachers please see Mr. Franzone in Room 108.

Attention all Seniors: If you have not done so already and would like to nominate a fellow student for the S.C.O.P.E. Scholarship, please fill out the form you received and return it to the Main Office as soon as possible. If you did not receive the form, come to the Main Office for a copy.

Come support the Class of 2019 on Tuesday April 4th at Cafe Europa. Just mention "West Islip Class of 2019" on all orders and 15% of your order will be donated to the class.

Volunteers are needed for the Annual Elizabeth T. McNamee Memorial Run Sunday May14th. You can earn community service credit. Sign up sheet is in the main office. Please remember to sign in and out the day of the event to receive your service credit.

Udall Road Middle School invites you to be their guest as they present the tale as old as time, Beauty and the Beast Jr., tonight at 7PM. Tickets will be sold at the door for $8.

The Boys varsity Tennis team defeated Islip Thursday 7 to 1. Winning for the lions were: Marty Racanelli, Richie Racanelli, Sean Moran, Will Fix, Griffin Costello, Mike Felice, Eric Mauri and Jack Johnson. Congratulations.

Did you get your ticket to Thirst Gala? No?? What are you waiting for? Come to Room 183 and see Ms Nilsen. $30 gets you a delicious Italian dinner, music, two free raffles for some great prizes and a ton of fun at our private hall venue. Mark your calendar for May 19th from 6pm-9pm for an AWESOME evening when we continue to change the world and give water to people in developing countries!

The ASL level 4 class is hosting the 7th annual ASL Idol Tonight! Doors open at 6:00pm show starts at 6:30pm. Tonight will be a night full of amazing performances and awesome raffles! Admission costs $5 with an ASL t-shirt or $7 without. We hope to see you there!!

Please support the Helping Hands Drive April 5th at the Union Blvd. Fire House with your donations and time between 2:30 and 5:30pm.

“All robotics students are reminded that there is a mandatory team meeting tonight from 6-9 PM. All students must attend in order to participate at the Hofstra Regional competition.

The Babylon Rotary Club is looking for volunteers to assist in food packing on April 1, 2017, for their annual Babylon Ends Hunger Event. If you are interested in volunteering, please pick up a flier in the Counseling Office.
Helping Hand in West Islip, Inc. is having their Easter Basket and Spring Gift Drive. Please consider donating some items such as a gently used lunch box, backpack, or pocketbook with toys, slippers, socks, plastic eggs and goodies. Plush animals should be clean and ready for distribution. Donations will be accepted at the drive being held at the West Islip Fire House April 5th located on Union Blvd between the hours of 2:30-5:30pm.

The girls varsity lacrosse team defeated Massapequa girls on Saturday 4-3. The girls played a tough game and were led by Carly Lanzarotta, Danielle Marino, Tara Bovich each with a goal. Sam Blair had the tie breaker goal in the second half. Defense was solid and was led by Lauren Di Stefano with 8 saves. Great job Ladies keep it up!!!

We would like to congratulate the students who participated in the 2017 Physics Olympics as well as Mrs. Budka on a job well down! The following students received a Certificate of Excellence: Gage Adler, Rosemary Cannarella, Patrick Carter and Thomas Riley.

There will be a Sports Marketing Club Meeting today in Room 108 at 2:15pm. We are in full promotional mode for Lip Sync Battle: Teachers vs. Students. All members and new members please attend.

West Islip High School Theatre proudly presents “Young Frankenstein” tonight at 7:30. Tickets are $15 at the door. Come and support this amazingly talented cast and crew.
The play will also be performed tomorrow night at 6pm.

Attention all senior members of the World Language Honor Society: our next mandatory meeting will be held today, March 15th. We will discuss the induction ceremony and spring decorations.

Any senior Italian or Spanish World Language Honor Society member interested in ordering World Language Honor Cords for graduation can order their cords at this meeting ONLY. Students will not be able to order cords at any other time. The cost is $5.00. Please have the money at the time you place your order. Any questions, please see Mrs. Agramonte or Mrs. Kaminsky.
