Attention all boys interested in playing basketball this Saturday. West Islip Boys Varsity Basketball team will be hosting its boy’s annual basketball clinic. The clinic is run by the varsity coaches and varsity players. Again, the clinic takes place this Saturday 11am-1pm. Stop by and see Mr. Salerno for a registration flyer.

They say the best gifts are homemade. Join Ms. Ciangetti & Ms. Colonna for a D.I.Y. workshop on Tuesday December 19th in room 301. Participants will each make a mason jar cookie gift. Look for
the flyers around the building for more details and sign up outside of room 301.

This coming Monday and Tuesday we will have locker clean-out. You may want to go through your locker this week and bring home any items you will not need during the week before the holiday vacation. Monday will be locker clean-out for the students who have lockers on the second floor and Tuesday will be locker clean-out for the students who have lockers on the second floor.

Art Club "A" meets after school on today.

Thank you to the 7th and 8th grade mathletes who participated in yesterday’s competition! A great effort was put in by all. Our next competition is Tuesday January 9 at Brentwood. Hope to see you all there!

Attention Student Council: We meet today at 2:45-3:30 in Room 211.

Volleyball intramurals is taking place on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday morning at 7:15 am in the gym. Any questions see Mrs. Cain.

A reminder to all Chorus students who received an “All District” permission slip in the mail: The permission slips are due today. Please remember to hand in your slip for All District Chorus to Ms. Persico.

To all girls in 6th, 7th and 8th grades who are interested in basketball. There will be a clinic this Saturday at the HS put on by members of the Girls Varsity Team from 2-4 in the afternoon. Any girls who are interested in attending please stop by and see Mr. Scharf, Mrs. Cain or Mr. Klimkoski for a flyer.

The girls’ volleyball team defeated a very competitive Islip team yesterday 25-23, 25-1, 20-25, 25-16, and 25-14. The team is away Thursday at Copiague.

Attention all members of the Helping Hands Club, there will be a meeting tomorrow, right after school, in room 104. We look forward to seeing you there!

Attention 7th and 8th grade Mathletes - Please meet in room 203 during home room today to take a yearbook picture. We will also be meeting at 2:20 this afternoon for today’s competition at Udall. If you haven’t handed in a permission slip, please bring it to room 203.

Don’t forget today after school in Mrs. Ciangetti’s room 301 – we are making gingerbread houses. See you there.
