The Elizabeth McNamee Memorial Cell Phone & Ink Cartridge Fund Drive has begun and will continue through May 26, 2017. If you have any old cell phones or ink cartridges and would like to discard them please bring them to the lobby desk. There is a box provided for their disposal. Thank you.

Udall Road Middle School invites you to be their guest as they present the tale as old as time, Beauty and the Beast Jr., this Thursday and Friday at 7PM. Tickets will be sold at the door for $8.

Yearbook sales are winding down. 8th graders, please be sure to go to the Beach Street website to order yours for our End of Year celebration. Anyone can order a yearbook.

Attention boys & girls who signed up for the Swim team – Please pick up our blue card from Mrs. Madocks’ office. You will need the blue card to start practice on Monday March 27th.

Thursday, March 23, 2017- Gold Day
Good Morning. Today is Thursday, March 23rd. It is a GOLD day. Please stand for the pledge.

It’s back! It’s on! It’s all about the Belt! The Sports Marketing Club presents Teachers vs. Students on Tuesday, April 18th at 7pm. Come see Mr. Yuli, Ms. Annunziata, Mrs. Murray and the one and only Mr. Como outshine the students in the ultimate lip sync Battle for the Belt. All students interested in competing against the teachers please see Mr. Franzone in Room 108.
Attention all Seniors: If you have not done so already and would like to nominate a fellow student for the S.C.O.P.E. Scholarship, please fill out the form you received and return it to the Main Office as soon as possible. If you did not receive the form, come to the Main Office for a copy.
Come support the Class of 2019 on Tuesday April 4th at Cafe Europa. Just mention "West Islip Class of 2019" on all orders and 15% of your order will be donated to the class.

Volunteers are needed for the Annual Elizabeth T. McNamee Memorial Run Sunday May14th. You can earn community service credit. Sign up sheet is in the main office. Please remember to sign in and out the day of the event to receive your service credit.
Senior girls who are active in community service are encouraged to apply for the Women of West Islip Scholarship. Applications are available in the Counseling Office. The deadline for this award is April 7th.

The ASL level 4 class is hosting the 7th annual ASL Idol Tonight! Doors open at 6:00pm show starts at 6:30pm. Tonight will be a night full of amazing performances and awesome raffles! Admission costs $5 with an ASL t-shirt or $7 without. We hope to see you there!!

To all Maker Space students and newcomers - we will be starting an engineering challenge this week. We are taking apart and building appliances. This week's meeting will take place on Thursday in the library until around 3:30. See you there.

Anyone trying out for the Beach Street Baseball team must attend a mandatory team meeting today at 2:45 pm in the gym. You must be at meeting to get your blue card so you can try out.

The Be Yourself Club invites you all to join us for KIDS KARAOKE on Thursday, March 23 in room 100 at 2:45. Bring your own music on a CD or from your Bluetooth phone.

Attention All Students: Tickets for the Talent Show go on sale tomorrow in all lunch periods. Tickets are $5 each or $4 if you are a student council card holder. You don't want to miss a night of great performers! And this weekend, a few more surprise acts have joined an already talented line up. The Beach Street Talent Show...this Friday night at 7pm. Beach Street Auditorium. Get your ticket at lunch this week.

Attention 6th & 7th graders: Your Spring Dance/Social is Friday, March 31st. Ask your advisory teacher for a permission slip, or grab one from the main lobby desk or Mr. Fawess' room. The deadline to hand in your permission slip for the dance is this Friday, March 24th. Tickets will not be sold at the door. You must return the permission slip with $5.00. That is your ticket. DJ, dancing, and friends. Snacks and cool raffles at the event $1.00 each. See you there!

Attention All Talent Show Acts and Student Council Members helping at the Talent Show: You are required to be at Thursday's dress rehearsal. 2:45 until 5:30 PM in the auditorium. You must bring and wear the outfit you will be wearing for the Talent Show. You must bring any props or instruments, etc. Bring water and a small snack as well. Again, all talent show acts and student council members must attend Thursday's dress rehearsal.

Congratulations to the girls basketball team who ended the season by defeating Udall on Monday afternoon. The team was led by Nikki Mottes, Maggie Davidson, Stephanie Doyle, Quinn McCarthy, Olivia Vice, Alexa Boniberger, and Arianna Alladio Zacpal. Great season girls.

ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS OF THE HELPING HANDS CLUB AND STUDENT COUNCIL! Today, Mr. Fawess and Ms. Crowley will be beginning the "I WILL" project. For those of you interested in being part of the video, please meet us in the library media center today, right after school. We look forward to seeing you all there and launching this impactful project. Once again, anyone interested in being part of the video for the "I WILL" project, report to the library immediately after school today.

There will be a brief meeting for anyone who is trying out for the boys’ tennis team at 2:45 pm on Friday, March 17th. Important paperwork will be handed out. Please wait outside the gym for Coach Orehosky

Thursday, March 16, 2017- Blue Day
Congratulations to all of our SCMEA All-County participants. The rehearsals leading up to the concert were vigorous and all did a fantastic job at the both the Division 1 and Division 2 concerts yesterday.

Also, right after school is Art Extra Help with Mr. Santoramo!

Congratulations to the girls basketball team who defeated Kings Park. The team was led offensively by Kiarra Branigan with 20 points and Kayleigh Gagliardi. The team also played great defensively led by Nikki Mottes and Stephanie Doyle. Great job girls!!
